I love the self counseling projects. I was looking into one of my sin which was my behavior, my heart issue which was affecting others as well. So i decided to continue to do these self counseling projects. I loved the Case discussions which was very helpful. One of the game changers for me during this course was when he shared about a schizophrenic who was a believer and how he had interacted with him and over a period of time there was a change in him. I understand schizophrenia very well because I am a doctor and I never knew that this counseling model can help a person with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. Because I see these types of patients on a daily basis I know how hard it is to treat. In my house I have been bringing out the model daily. I thank BCTI-CCEF for this course.

I really enjoyed the course. I enjoyed the interactions with each other. It was really great how everyone was engaging with the material and how they were being vulnerable and open to share their struggle. I loved the Three Trees model. I have never seen anything like that before. It was really simple but it was a very good framework that helps you apply in any situation. It shows you how God can meet you in any situation. I will continue to use that. Going forward I am hungry for more. I enjoyed the spiritual nourishment each week with the lectures and am going to miss that.

Sharing in precise words is not easy because the course was quite exhaustive. I am thankful to God to help me complete this course. Some of the things that touched me very deeply were- the way the hymns were explained. The way it was taken around and then singing along with them, it was exhilarating. I enjoyed that. Repeatedly through the lectures again and again we were taught the model. I was amazed about the teaching part using demonstrations, pictures and examples. Coming from a Psychology background, even to know that the biblical truth as the primary truth explaining even things that you thought only had scientific explanation was a big learning for me. I also enjoyed the expositions of the Bible. The way the verses shared spoke in a very different way. I also enjoyed the self counseling projects were really helpful and I feel it’s only tip of the iceberg. It was a very deep realization for me and it has created a lot of reflection in me. I think I have a lot of unlearning to do in terms of the psychology that has got into my mind. The perspectives in the class were also truly enlightening. Thank you so much!
